Rob Zombie and KoRn Headline Mayhem Festival 2010

Rob Zombie.  KoRn.  Lamb of God.  Five Finger Death Punch.

No, those aren't the titles of the last four movies left at a Blockbuster on a Saturday night.  Those are the four acts appearing on the main stage at the summer's best heavy metal soiree, the annual Rockstar Mayhem Festival.

Rob Zombie and KoRn, the big names who can sell lots of Mayhem Festival tickets, will headline the event that begins July 10 in San Bernardino, California.

The Mayhem Festival is set to visit 24 cities over the summer  including West Palm BeachEnglewoodMountain View, and Hartford.

The Mayhem Festival will also sell tickets for a show in Albuquerque

Zombie is supporting his latest album, Hellbilly Deluxe 2, which dropped Feb. 2.  Korn is supporting their ninth studio album, KoRn III - Remember Who You Are, which is expected to plunge later this year.

"It's been over a decade since my last tour with KoRn, so this pairing is long overdue," gushed Zombie. "Mayhem will be one amazingly destructive way to spend the summer."

The festival's second stage will host Three Inches of Blood, Atreyu, In This Moment, and Norma Jean.  The third stage features Chimaira, Hatebreed, Shadows Fall, and Winds of Plague.

The Mayhem Festival is more than just 12 great metal bands thrashing your eardrums.  There's other stuff going on too.  After all, that's why they call it a festival.

Metal Mulisha, those thrill-seeking, freestylin', motocross crazies, will be on hand performing tricks from their hardcore repertoire.  Metal heads looking for a laugh can check out the comedy stylings of "Big Jay" Oakerson.  And of course there's the scantily clad dancers known as the "Beachers Babies."

Presale tickets for this shindig go on sale April 2.  General public ducats go on sale April 16.

Other highlights of 2010's premiere metal event include the Mayhem Festival in Houston, the Mayhem Festival in Phoenix, the Mayhem Festival in Atlanta, and the Mayhem Festival in San Diego.

The festival is scheduled to conclude after an Aug 13 show in Dallas and Aug. 14 show in Oklahoma City.
